A French restaurant in Sapporo that I go to irregularly. It's been over 30 years now. It evolves every time I visit, but it's the things that don't change that catch my eye. A well-balanced store in all aspects.

I had to write a review for Moliere because it’s absolutely going to be the best experience of your life for those who are thinking about visiting them. I originally booked this place since I found it on a guide book and my mom loves French. I later realized that it’s a 3 Michelin star restaurant and got kind of intimidated to go. I called them roughly 2 months prior, and 2 time slots were available for Thursday lunch. They have 3 courses to choose from, and you do need to tell them which one you guys are having on the phone. If I remember correctly, they only take reservations by calls. The cheapest option is about $40? I think? It’s a proper course meal, and you can enjoy a 3 Michelin star restaurant. Unbelievable in my opinion. All the staff members were stunning. Like I said earlier, I felt like I was out of place, but they were so welcoming and nice. I felt very comfortable immediately. The food, guys. From the beginning till the end I was in awe. I was nearly in tears of joy. I didn’t want my lunch to end at all. I don’t know if I ever had that kind of feeling. I choose the most expensive one and believe it was like $120 ish. 200% worth the money. Please go. Although it may not be a classic French restaurant it’s undoubtedly delicious. You won’t regret it. P.s. We booked for December already(we’re from Tokyo).

Starting from the small bacon tart, it is a feast for the eyes, good and enthusiastic service, amazing burdock soup, the combination of warm salad sauces is also amazing, the combination of eel and duck liver is a match made in heaven, Hokkaido filet It is also a very refreshing combination with turnips. The bread after the main course is paired with Hokkaido cheese, which is rich and smooth. I forgot the name of the dessert, but it is very delicious. The texture is similar to the Italian BaBa. It happened to be my birthday in Hokkaido this time. , I am also very grateful to the restaurant for preparing a birthday cake for us. I will definitely come back next time I come to Hokkaido.

I thought that Sapporo would be very formal because of the sophisticated French cuisine, but of course everyone was wearing formal clothes, but not as much as in Tokyo. Still, it's full of the atmosphere of eating and drinking delicious …
